International Mother Language Day observed

International Mother Language Day and Martyr’s Day was observed on 21 February 2015 at Navy Anchorage Khulna and B N English School and College Khulna with due respect and solemnity. Respected Principal Commander M Ashraful Alam, BN along with all the teachers offered flowers to the monument of the martyrs who laid down their lives to save our mother tongue – Bangla on 21 February 1952. Later the monument was opened for the students to offer flowers with great respect and everybody took part in a special prayer seeking eternal peace for the martyrs standing one minute in silence.

To observe the day different types of competitions like Drawing, Handwriting and Essay-writing were arranged for the students in several groups. A short discussion program was also arranged for the students highlighting the importance of the day. After that a wonderful cultural function was performed by the students under the supervision of the cultural committee.

At the end of the program, respected Principal Commander M Ashraful Alam, BN distributed prizes among the winners of different competitions and took part in a photo session with them. All the teachers were present there at that moment. At last honorable Principal delivered his valuable closing speech focusing on the significance of the day and gave thanks to all.
